What's new in Veeam Reporter 3.5

    New Reports

Veeam Reporter 3.5 adds the following new pre-defined reports:

        * VM operating systems by type - identifies the types and counts of operating systems running on your virtual machines for licensing and other purposes.
        * VM by storage - shows how your virtual machines are distributed across your storage to better understand if some storage is over or under utilized compared to the recommended number of VMs per spindle.
        * Storage load - shows the load on each storage device (used and free disk space), and howthese loads compare to each other.
        * Datastore utilization - shows an at-a-glance view of all your storage devices grouped by disk space utilization.

    Revised Reports

Many existing reports have new, re‐designed layouts to better display large VMware environments. For example, the VMotion report has been completely re‐designed according to customer feedback, and now also reflects any issues preventing successful VMotion of specific virtual machines.

    Additional Networking Data Collection

In response to customer requests, Reporter 3.5 now collects and displays in the reports a number of additional Virtual Infrastructure settings, including virtual NIC settings.

    Improved Performance

Report generation performance has been improved significantly (by up to 10 times, depending on the specific report). Performance improvements are especially notable when creating reports from larger object scopes.

What's new in Veeam Reporter Enterprise 3.5

    Windows PowerShell Access

You can now use a Veeam PowerShell Extension to run custom queries against Virtual Infrastructure data gathered by Reporter Enterprise 3.5 and get details about the current state or earlier points in time. The new Veeam PowerShell Extension is fully compatible with the standard VMware PowerShell Extension and uses the same data structures, allowing you to run your existing PowerShell scripts against the Reporter Enterprise database with few, if any, modifications. Running your PowerShell scripts against the Reporter Enterprise server instead of vCenter allows you to offload all script processing activities from vCenter, providing for better availability of this critical Virtual Infrastructure element.

    Custom Report Templates

You can now create custom templates for your Raw Data Analysis reports by including any custom branding or even custom reports to meet your daily reporting requirements. The Veeam Report Viewer will then use your template when creating the Raw Data Analysis report, and output the results exactly as you have designed them in your custom report template.

    New Reports

Veeam Reporter Enterprise 3.5 adds the following new pre‐defined reports to the Raw Data Analysis Excel report:

        * VM operating systems by type - identifies the types and counts of operating systems running on your virtual machines for licensing and other purposes.
        * VM by storage - shows how your virtual machines are distributed across your storage to better understand if some storage is over or under utilized compared to the recommended number of VMs per spindle.
        * Storage load - shows the load on each storage device (used and free disk space), and howthese loads compare to each other.
        * Datastore utilization - shows an at‐a‐glance view of all your storage devices grouped by disk space utilization.
